Wird es etwa zur Völkerverständigung verwendet, denken die Menschen an diesem Tag wirklich mit dem Herz, anstatt mit dem Verstand? Ist in jeder Familie mit einem Male alles in Ordnung, herrscht jetzt auf einmal innerer Friede, aller Neid, alle Angst, alles ist wie auf Knopfdruck verschwunden? Untersuchen wir doch einmal den näheren Sinn Weihnachtens, die Entstehung, nicht was Handel und Kommerz daraus gemacht haben: Alles begann in einer Zeit, man beachte, sogar ähnlich wie heute, als Israel in Bedrängnis war, in Bedrängnis einer großen Macht, namentlich Rom (man beachte nochmals: kein Religionenkonflikt, leicht zu handhaben, da nur die „Grundreligion", das Judentum, nicht seine Ableger „erfunden" waren). In dieser Zeit also, sicherlich grausam für die Bevölkerung, wurde ein kleines Kind zur Welt gebracht, zwar bestimmt nicht am 24.12. aber was soll's, irgendwo in der Nähe von Bethlehem, es wurde Jesus genannt (an alle Atheisten: das ist historisch (!) nachweisbar). So nun überlegen wir einmal, dieses Kind soll also gewollt haben, dass daraus ein Fest, genauso wie wir es heute haben, entsteht?!?!? Die Intention dieses Kindes, war doch eher, der Menschheit einen Gefallen zu tun, ihn nicht in den finanziellen Ruin zu treiben. Seine Intention war und ist es Frieden zu schaffen, alle Fehlinterpretationen des Alten Testaments auszumerzen, den Menschen Gottes Güte näher zu bringen, sie lieben und nicht hassen zu lernen. So weit, so gut. Warum aber ist Weihnachten dann so wie es heute ist? Wir hätten da erst einmal den sog. Christbaum: Gibt is in Israel Nadelbäume, d.h. Fichten, Tannen, Kiefern? Weiß ich nicht, war noch nie dort. Aber das Grün des Baumes, typisch für ein heidnisches Fest; Weihnachten, wie es sich darstellt ist, nur am Rande erwähnt ein heidnisches Fest, mit seinen Symbolen, sogar das Datum selbst beweist es (wer sich dafür interessiert soll es selbst nachschlagen, darum geht es jetzt eigentlich nicht). Hm, was haben wir noch? Wir haben den lieben, netten Weihnachtsmann! Special Thanks an die Firma Coca Cola (Sie gestatten, dass ich Schleichwerbung mache?), dass sie für uns – oder doch eher für sich? – so nen lieben, knuddeligen, alten Mann mit Bart erfunden hat!!!! (Oh und die schönen beleuchteten Weihnachtstrucks!!! Tschuldigung das war Ironie, ich bitte von einer Klage abzusehen) Und natürlich die Geschenke!!! Super für die Geschäfte kurz vor Jahresende ihre Preise nochmals saftig in die Höhe zu treiben! Auch nicht schlecht zu sehen, wie viele Leute käuflich sind. A cyclone also hit Somalia resulting in the loss of 100,000 livestock. Natural disasters are part of our lives, to the extend that maybe we have become desensitised to the suffering of people. Muslims understand that they are tests from Allah swt, yet why do we still feel angry at the man made death and destruction after a flood, typhoon, tsunami or earthquake? It's because we can see that the infrastructure of those affected could have been better, the aid relief could have been quicker and the corruption within governments are proof that the lives of people are the least of priorities. Even if mankind cannot naturally prevent such disasters, Allah Taala has commanded them to take precautionary measures by instituting special procedures as a way to mitigate such disasters when they occur. Islam as an ideology and complete way of life defines the responsibility of taking care of the public affairs as that of the government and not individuals or private organizations. Hence, the Islamic state, al-Khilafah, is mandated to construct roads and ease transport. As for tragedies like floods and earthquakes, the Islamic State utilizes funds from the treasury (Baitul Mal) to tend to the affected people and this is its responsibility to the public and not a favour. If it happens there are no funds in the state treasury, then the Khalifah (Islamic leader) will be forced to levy the rich a specific amount to compensate for such a situation. Egypt and the death of liberalism (CNN) -- In Egypt prominent liberals are now supporting a military-backed government overseeing a resurgence of post-Mubarak authoritarianism. Since the ouster of President Mohamed Morsy on July 3, those few remaining true to basic principles have found themselves marginalized as the goals of the 2011 revolution are squandered by the military. Many of the self-identified liberals who filled the streets of downtown Cairo on June 30 demanding Morsy's resignation justified their actions by pointing to a broken political system and the absence of democracy. In the eyes of protesters, Morsy used his electoral victory as a free pass to enforce an authoritarian style of government which denied its people basic human rights, supervised an increase in sectarian violence, and prioritized a regional Islamist agenda over the basic needs of the Egyptian people. Although these same "liberals" described their revolution as democracy in action, a considerable number of them have since supported the increasingly authoritarian decisions of the interim government which followed. Muslim Brotherhood ban upheld Gov't responds as Morsy trial starts Egypt government suspends Bassem Youssuf The targets of these actions expand beyond the Muslim Brotherhood to a comprehensive swath of Egyptian society as journalists and activists are detained, satirical programs are canceled by private networks, and the constitutional drafting committee proposes laws meant to restrict freedom of expression and NGO operation. Egypt's armed forces, the driving force behind these events, has simultaneously amended its oath to renounce loyalty to the elected president and sought after immunity for its top leaders. Egypt's liberals have responded to these moves with outward support on numerous occasions. Perhaps most disheartening is the explicit praise and backing coming from leaders of Egypt's National Salvation Front (NSF), a liberal-left coalition formed in opposition to Morsy's authoritarian rule. Current NSF leader and former Secretary General of the Arab league, Amr Moussa, presently chairs the same constitutional drafting committee unable to scale back military authority and secure basic civil liberties while Wafd party leader and NSF stalwart El-Sayyid el-Badawi, recently stated that the NSF will endorse General Abdel Fattah el-Sisi's prospective presidential bid. Much of NSF's leadership has also supported the interim government's violent dispersal of sit-ins at Rabaa el-Adawiyya and el-Nahda, an event which claimed the lives of hundreds of Egyptians. More recently, the same supposed bedrock of Egyptian liberalism failed to condemn a court ruling that disbanded the Muslim Brotherhood and a constitutional provision granting the military immunity. On the surface, the predicament of liberals seems illogical. What would drive a high-ranking, liberal public official to back such a flagrant disregard for civil liberties and transparent government? The answer lies within the Egyptian electorate. Since January 2011, liberals have failed to instill their values within the political ideology of Egypt's voters. In fact, since the revolution, more than two-thirds of the votes across parliamentary elections, the constitutional referendum, and the presidential election have gone to representatives of political Islam. Former presidential candidates, Hamdeen Sabahi and Amr Moussa, who captured roughly 20% and 11% of the vote respectively, are now opting for a new strategy: "If you can't beat them, ban them." Mohamed Morsy trial halted by chanting 'Egypt's Jon Stewart' in hot water Egypt FM on struggle for stability The Muslim Brotherhood and its allies within political Islam cannot be beat fair and square so liberals are now opportunistically working with the military to efface them from Egyptian life. The result is a man-made political landscape handcrafted to undemocratically meet the needs of the country's most powerful liberals. The events following June 30 have rendered Egypt an inoperable landscape for the few citizens pursuing the genuine aims of liberalism. The isolated voices of figures such as Mohamed ElBaradei and Amr Hamzawy, who have spoken out against the interim government's authoritarian tactics have been shunned by their "liberal" brethren working in concert with the military's government. Consider ElBaradei, former interim vice president and director-general of the International Atomic Energy Agency. A strong proponent of liberalism, ElBaradei expressed vehement disagreement with the interim government's plan to employ violence to crack down on Brotherhood protesters on August 14. Remaining loyal to his principles, ElBaradei resigned from his position when the interim government moved forward with this decision. In the meantime, "liberals" backing the government harshly criticized ElBaradei while his own Constitution Party filed a lawsuit against him. On July 31, Hamzawy, a prominent political scientist, former member of parliament, and head of the Egypt Freedom party thrashed his fellow "liberals" in Egypt's daily Al-Shorouk for betraying their principles in support of the military. His article was met with strong criticism and personal attacks. When fabricated headlines told of a relationship with the Muslim Brotherhood and the United States, he responded to rumors on his Twitter account, warning that the current regime was working to silence pro-democracy voices. We are now seeing a brand of liberalism in Egypt which does little to serve its own values and principles. Disenchanted onlookers and advocates of the goals of Egypt's 2011 revolution look on as so-called liberals work with the military to supervise the resurgence of authoritarianism. Jetzt haben die Nachrichten vom Anfang bis zum Ende auf die eine oder andere Art mit Muslimen zu tun. Sei es im guten oder schlechten Sinne, aber ihr seid jetzt das Zentrum der Ereignisse. Deshalb wird euch alles, was auch immer passieren wird, beeinflussen. Falls die Spekulation wahr sein sollte, dass die Muslime in einen sehr kritischen Abschnitt ihrer Geschichte kommen, eine Phase, die die zweite goldene Zeit der Muslime nach sich bringen wird, dann solltet ihr unbedingt sichergehen, dass ihr mitten im Geschehen seid (aktiv) und nicht an den Seitenlinien sitzt (inaktiv). Warum? Was machte die Ṣaḥābah besonders? Was sie besonders machte, war, dass sie die Generation waren, die den Islām etablierte. Die Tābiʿīn kamen und alles war schon für sie vorbereitet. Somit konnten die Tābiʿīn ihr Leben dem Studieren, Lehren usw. widmen. Die Ṣaḥābah hatten diesen Luxus nicht. Die Ṣaḥābah gingen von einer Schlacht zur nächsten, von einer Schwierigkeit zur nächsten. Was die Ṣaḥābah besonders macht, ist die Tatsache, dass sie eine Minderheit waren, die gegen den Strom schwamm, während die Tābiʿīn mit dem Strom schwammen. Die Ṣaḥābah gingen gegen die ganze Welt an, alles stand gegen sie. Es gab Zeiten, wo sich einer von ihnen fürchtete, aus seinem Haus rauszugehen, wie zum Beispiel während der Belagerung von Al-Khandaq. Was die Ṣaḥābah besonders machte, war die Tatsache, dass sie diejenigen waren, die den Islām aufbauten. Sie bauten ihn auf. Jetzt wurde dieses Gebäude abgerissen. Also besteht jetzt für eine andere Generation die Möglichkeit, zu kommen und es wieder aufzubauen. Anstatt dass der Islām in seiner fertigen Form zu euch kommt, habt ihr jetzt die Chance, unter der Generation zu sein, die den Ṣaḥābah am ähnlichsten ist. Also wenn ihr die Gelegenheit habt, daran teilzunehmen [entweder ihr nehmt selbst teil oder ihr bereitet eure Kinder darauf vor], falls ihr oder die Generation, die euch folgt, ein Teil dieser goldenen Jahre sein soll, solltet ihr sicherstellen, dass ihr mittendrin seid, dass ihr mitten in der Arena seid. Ihr solltet nicht an der Seitenlinie stehen und euch die Nachrichten anschauen.
