But there is another reason, one that derives an important lesson about the Hijrah: staying in Makkah with the persecution from the Makkan people was unproductive for the Prophet (saw) because the environment was not conducive for the message which he (saw) carried; Islam. The Prophet (saw) had to find a way out, he (saw) had to find a venue for his message to flourish. In essence, the migration was not about saving his life, but it was about saving the message and fulfilling his mission! The evidence of this is that immediately after reaching Madinah, the prophet (saw) didn't relax but immediately went through an all-embracing process to establish a faithful and strong society by building a mosque, establishing a market, managing the politics of the new town, and so on. So there's a deep lesson here about the Hijrah that is subtle but important – it is that the Hijrah is a process of transfer to a better situation to enable you to be productive and active vicegerent on Earth. It is not meant to be a means to find a comfortable place where one would relax and stop being productive. Rather, it is a search for an environment more favorable to continuous and constructive productivity for Allah's sake. So what lessons can we take from this and how can we be more productive. We can maybe change the way we do things and look for an Islamic alternative, we could seek to make small every day changes, or be more strict on forbidding the bad and encouraging the good. The scholars of al-Islam have differed regarding the ruling of cutting it. 1st Opinion: Prohibited. The Maalikiya have said that it is haraam. And the Hanafiya and Shaaf'iyaa have said it is disliked to cut it. Also Sh ibn Baaz and Sh Ibn Jibreen have stated that it is prohibited to cut it. 2nd Opinion: Permissible. Many of the scholars have stated this and Shaykh Salih Munajid states on his site that it is the more correct opinion in the matter inshaaAllah. He says, "Because the hair from the 'Anfaqa is not from the hair of the beard. The books of the arabic language define the beard as the hair on the cheeks and chin as is in "al-Qaamoos (1714) and "Lisaan al-Arab (5/241)" So based on the speech of the scholars of the language, the Anfaqa is not from what is considered the beard." Shaheed Zafferullah R/o Village Bheli District Doda (Indian Occupied Kashmir). Before joining the Ranks of Mujahideen he was a soldier in the Indian army. He could not suppress the imaan in his heart and one day escaped the army camp with an insas rifle and 2 AK-47 rifles. He was put on the list of most wanted by the Indian army in Occupied Kashmir, and an award of Rs. 1 Million was announced for his Head. Black Cat Commandos from Delhi (capital city of India) were called and an operation was launched for 3 months at a stretch to neutralize him, but by The Grace of Allah they Failed. At the time of joining the Mujahideen ranks he had Rs. 1,65,000 in his bank account which he even didn't bothered to withdraw. Later on the said amount was seized by the Barbarian Hindu Indian Army. He attained Martyrdom in the year 2010.
