Khusus, hanya untuk yang siap nikah tidak pakai pacaran. Siapakah jodoh kita, kapan waktunya tiba, di mana akan dipertemukan, apakah ia benar-benar orang shaleh/ shalehah?. Semua itu rahasia Allah SWT. Allah SWT menetapkan tiga bentuk taqdir dalam masalah jodoh. Pertama, cepat mendapatkan jodoh. Kedua, lambat mendapatkan jodoh, tapi suatu ketika pasti mendapatkannya di dunia. Ketiga, menunda mendapatkan jodoh sampai di akhirat kelak. Apapun pilihan jodoh yang ditentukan Allah adalah hal terbaik untuk kita. Allah SWT berfirman: "Boleh jadi kamu membenci sesuatu, padahal ia amat baik bagimu, dan boleh jadi (pula) kamu menyukai sesuatu, padahal ia amat buruk bagimu; Allah mengetahui, sedang kamu tidak mengetahui" (QS. Al Baqarah: 216). Kita harus terikat aturan Allah. Kita juga dibekali akal untuk memahami aturan-Nya. Ketika kita memutuskan untuk taat atau melanggar aturanNya adalah pilihan kita sendiri. Bagaimana cara kita untuk mendapatkan jodoh adalah pilihan kita. Dengan jalan yang diridhoiNya atau tidak. Tetapi hasil akhirnya Allah yang menentukan. Berikut ini ada beberapa tips agar cepat mendapatkan jodoh bagi anda yang sampai saat ini belum mendapatkan jodoh untuk menikah: 1. Tentukan terlebih dahulu kriteria pasangan ideal Nabi bersabda: "Apabila datang kepada kalian lelaki yang kalian ridhai agama dan akhlaknya,maka nikahkanlah ia (dengan puteri kalian). Sebab jika tidak, maka akan terjadi fitnah dibumi dan kerusakan yang besar". "Lelaki yang bertaqwa akan mencintai dan memuliakan istrinya. Jika ia marah tidak akan menzhalimi istrinya. Kaum jahiliyah menikah dengan melihat kedudukan, kaum Yahudi menikah dengan melihat harta, kaum Nasrani menikah dengan melihat rupa, sedangkan umat Islam menikahkan dengan melihat agama". Nabi bersabda:"Sesungguhnya dunia seluruhnya adalah perhiasan dan sebaik-baik perhiasan adalah wanita (isteri) yang sholehah". Beliau juga bersabda, "Wanita dinikahi karena empat faktor, yakni karena harta kekayaannya, karena kedudukannya, karena kecantikannya, dan karena agamanya. Hendaknya pilihlah yang beragama agar berkah kedua tanganmu." Sulit mencari jodoh bisa jadi karena kriteria terlalu muluk. Janganlah kita menginginkan kesempurnaan orang lain, padahal diri kita tidak sempurna. 2. Memperluas Pergaulan Sesuai Syariat Seringlah bersilaturrahim ke tempat saudara atau mengikuti majelis ta'lim. Ustadz, teman, orang tua, saudara, keluarga, dan yang lain Insyaallah pasti bisa diminta bantuan. 3. Sebisa mungkin hindari berpacaran "Dan janganlah kamu mendekati zina; sesungguhnya zina itu adalah suatu perbuatan yang keji. Dan suatu jalan yang buruk." (QS. Al Israa': 32). Kita dilarang berkhalwat, memandang lawan jenis dengan syahwat, wanita bepergian sehari semalam tanpa muhrim, dll. Biasanya, orang pacaran selalu menutupi kekurangannya dan menampilkan yang baik-baik saja. Cari informasi dari orang dekatnya (saudara, teman, tetangganya). Perlu juga penilaian dari orang tua dan keluarga kita. Biasanya kita tidak dapat melihat kekurangan orang yang kita cintai. 4. Perbanyak introspeksi diri Jika kita ingin mendapatkan jodoh yang shaleh, maka kita harus menjadi orang yang shaleh juga. Allah SWT berfirman: "Wanita-wanita yang keji adalah untuk laki-laki yang keji, dan laki-laki yang keji adalah buat wanita-wanita yang keji (pula), dan wanita-wanita yang baik adalah untuk laki-laki yang baik dan laki-laki yang baik adalah untuk wanita-wanita yang baik (pula}" (QS. An Nuur: 26). Rasulullah SAW bersabda: "Sesungguhnya Allah SWT tidak melihat pada bentuk-bentuk (lahiriah) dan harta kekayaanmu, tapi Dia melihat pada hati dan amalmu sekalian. " (HR. Muslim, Hadits no. 2564 dari Abu Hurairah). Jadi, lelaki atau wanita yang baik menurut pandangan Allah itu adalah lelaki atau wanita yang baik iman dan amalnya. Secara lahiriah kita perlu menjaga kebersihan, kerapihan dan menjaga bau badan. Bukan berdandan berlebihan (tidak Islami), tapi tampil menarik. 5. Jangan Mencintai Secara Berlebihan "Barangsiapa memberi karena Allah, menolak karena Allah, mencintai karena Allah, membenci karena Allah, dan menikah karena Allah, maka sempurnalah imannya. (HR. Abu Dawud) Jika kita mencintai manusia lebih daripada Allah, niscaya hati kita akan hancur dan putus asa jika ditinggalkan. Jika kita mencintai Allah di atas segalanya, niscaya kita akan selalu tegar dan tabah karena kita yakin bahwa Allah itu Maha Hidup dan Abadi serta selalu bersama hamba yang Sholeh. 6. Jika Gagal Berusaha Lagi Jika kita gagal, jangan putus asa dan minder. Kita harus sabar dan tetap berusaha mendapatkan yang lebih baik lagi. Yakinlah ada yang lebih baik yang sedang dipersiapkan Allah untuk kita. Para sahabat besarpun mengalaminya. Contohnya Utsman RA yang melamar putri Abu Bakar ditolak, lalu melamar putri Umar juga ditolak, akhirnya malah menjadi menantu Rasulullah SAW. Jodoh tidak akan lari dan akan datang pada waktunya. Bersabarlah dan sibukkan diri dengan amal sholeh. Hadapilah dengan sikap tenang, santai, tidak mudah emosi/sensitif, tidak larut dalam kesedihan, tidak berputus asa dan tetap bersemangat. Rasulullah SAW bersabda: "Sungguh menakjubkan kondisi seorang mukmin. Segala keadaan dianggapnya baik, dan hal ini tidak akan terjadi, kecuali bagi seorang mukmin. Apabila mendapat kesenangan ia bersyukur, maka itu tetap baik baginya dan apabila ditimpa penderitaan ia bersabar maka itu tetap baik baginya." (HR Muslim) Gunakan energi kita untuk lebih mendekatkan diri dan mencintai Allah SWT., orang tua, dan umat. Yakinlah dengan keadilan-Nya bahwa setiap manusia pasti memiliki jodoh masing-masing. Yakinlah bahwa semua kondisi adalah baik, berguna, dan berpahala bagi kita. 7. Siap menerima taqdir Allah Hidup adalah ujian. Bisa saja, takdir jodoh kita bukan orang shaleh. Allah SWT berfirman: "Wahai orang-orang yang beriman. Sesungguhnya di antara pasanganmu dan anakmu ada yang menjadi musuh bagimu, maka berhati-hatilah kamu terhadap mereka… Sesungguhnya hartamu dan anakmu, hanyalah ujian bagimu, dan di sisi Allah pahala yang besar." (Q.S. At-Taghaabuun: 14-15) Hal tersebut tetap bisa menjadi kebaikan apabila dijadikan sebagai lahan amal shaleh dan batu ujian untuk meningkatkan keimanan, tawakal, dan kesabaran. 8. Wanita bisa melamar lelaki Bukan hal yang dilarang jika wanita menemukan lelaki sholeh dan berinisiatif menawarkan diri dalam pernikahan melalui peran orang yang dipercaya. Khadijah RA melalui pamannya melamar Nabi Muhammad SAW setelah mengetahui akhlak dan agama beliau. 9. Taqarrub Ilallah Perburuan jodoh secara syar'i adalah dengan mendekati Allah super ekstra. Caranya dengan bertawasul amal-amal shaleh, tidak hanya ibadah wajib (berbakti kepada orangtua, sholat wajib), juga ibadah sunnah (shoum sunnah, sholat tahajjud/ taubat/ istikhoroh/ hajat/ witir/d huha, tilawah Al Qur'an, istighfar, infaq, dan lain-lain). Semakin dekat dengan Allah, iman bertambah dan do'a kita semakin terkabul. Usaha yang konsisten, optimis dan prasangka baik akan memudahkan jalan kita. 10. Tidak putus asa dan selalu berdoa Bacalah doa: "Ya Rabb kami, anugrahkanlah kepada kami isteri-isteri kami dan keturunan kami sebagai penyenang hati (kami), dan jadikanlah kami imam bagi orang-orang yang bertakwa". (QS. Al Furqon: 74). Doa lebih terkabul pada tempat mustajab, waktu mustajab dan memperhatikan adab berdoa. Berdoalah menurut apa yang diajarkan Allah dan Rasul-Nya. Tempat mustajab: masjid, majlis ta'lim, Arafah, Hajar Aswad, Hijr Ismail, di atas sajadah, dll. Waktu mustajab seperti sepertiga malam yang akhir, selesai sholat wajib/tahajjud/hajat, saat sujud/I'tidal terakhir dalam sholat, sedang berpuasa, berbuka puasa, dalam perjalanan, selesai khatam qur'an, hari Jum'at, baru mulai hujan, diantara azan dan iqamat, ketika minum air zamzam, bulan ramadhan/lailatul qodar, antara zuhur dan ashar juga antara ashar dan maghrib, selesai sholat subuh, dalam kesulitan, sedang sakit, sedang ada jenazah. Adab berdoa seperti menjauhkan hal yang haram, ikhlas, diawali dan diakhiri tahmid/sholawat, menghadap kiblat, suci dari hadats dan najis, khusyu' dan tenang, menengadahkan kedua tangan, dengan suara rendah dan pengharapan sepenuh hati, mengulangi berkali-kali, tidak berputus asa, menghadirkan Allah dalam hati, tidak meninggalkan sholat wajib, tidak melakukan dosa besar, tidak minta sesuatu yang dilarang Allah, sambil menangis. Nabi Musa as berdoa setelah menolong dua perempuan penggembala kambing: "Ya Tuhanku, sesungguhnya aku sangat memerlukan suatu kebaikan yang Engkau turunkan kepadaku." (QS 28:24). Allah SWT memahami keperluan dan prioritasnya, sehingga tidak saja memberi makanan, tapi juga memberi jodoh, tempat tinggal dan pekerjaan. Wallahu'alam bishawab. Doa bagi laki2 yang berharap jodoh : "ROBBI HABLII MILLADUNKA ZAUJATAN THOYYIBAH AKHTUBUHA WA ATAZAWWAJ BIHA WATAKUNA SHOOHIBATAN LII FIDDIINI WADDUNYAA WAL AAKHIROH". "Ya Robb, berikanlah kepadaku istri yang terbaik dari sisi-Mu, istri yang aku lamar dan nikahi dan istri yang menjadi sahabatku dalam urusan agama, urusan dunia dan akhirat". Doa bagi wanita yang berharap jodoh : "ROBBI HABLII MILLADUNKA ZAUJAN THOYYIBAN WAYAKUUNA SHOOHIBAN LII FIDDIINI WADDUNYAA WAL AAKHIROH". Dan semoga Allah Melimpahkan Rahmat dan salam kepada junjungan kita, Nabi Muhammad, dan kepada segenap keluarga serta sahabatnya. Ketika seseorang yg sakit dan ia pun berusaha untuk mengobati rasa sakitnya, namun sakit itu tak kunjung sembuh. Sekujur tubuhnya masih saja terasa sakit jika disentuh oleh jari telunjuknya. Sungguh orang tersebut tidak akan pernah menemukan obat, jika ternyata yg periksakan ke dokter adalah hanya bagian tubuh yg disentuh oleh jari telunjuknya saja. Sementara ia melupakan jari telunjuknya yg justru sumber dari rasa sakit itu sendiri. #Perumpamaan di atas adalah sebuah gambaran tentang sifat Hati yg penuh dendam dan kedengkian (ia akan sulit hidup dalam sebuah ke bersamaan). Di dalam pandangannya semua orang seolah-olah memusuhinya dan tidak ada yg baik. Padahal yg menjadikan orang lain tidak baik dalam pandangannya adalah karena Hatinya sendiri yg telah kotor. Hati yg mudah tersinggung, jika ada yg berbuat salah padanya?.. Akan selalu di ingat dan di simpan di dalam Hatinya. Bahkan terhadap seseorang yg secara tidak sengaja melakukan kesalahan kepadanya??. maka sudah harga mati baginya untuk di cap sebagai penjahat. Ini adalah jari yg sakit di saat bersentuhan dengan anggota yg sehat akan merasa sakit dan tidak akan bisa sembuh, #kecuali jari itu sendiri yg harus di obati. Menyadari penyakit dendam di dalam Hatinya adalah langkah pertama menuju kesembuhan, kemudian berlatih melihat orang lain dengan pandangan Husnudhon, serta melihat sisi positifnya dan, juga menghindari membicarakan dan mendengarkan kejelekan orang lain. Ada cara yg amat penting untuk menghancurkan dendam dan kebencian ini, yaitu memberi hadiah seperti yg pernah di ajarkan Rosulullah SAW; seberat apapun jika kita marah pada seseorang dan mendendaminya maka berusahalah untuk bisa memberi hadiah untuk mengurangi rasa sakit di dalam Hati (tahabu tahadu; saling engkau memberi hadiah, niscaya engkau akan saling mencintai). Cara yg lain yg juga amat penting untuk mengobati Hati yg sakit ini adalah; mendo'akan orang yg kita dendami dengan do'a-do'a yg baik, dan menghindari mendo'akan dengan do'a-do'a yg jelek. Sebab do'a yg jelek di panjatkan untuk orang yg di dendami tidaklah memberi arti positif bagi yg berdo'a dan yg di do'akan. Bahkan penyakit dendam akan semakin subur di Hati orang yg mudah mendo'akan orang lain dengan do'a-do'a yg jelek. Jika do'a itu di kabul akan menjadikan orang yg di do'akan akan semakin tidak baik, dan sangat mungkin yg berdo'a ini akan menuai kejahatan yg baru dari orang yg di do'akan. Juga di sabdakan oleh Rosulullah SAW; do'a jelek yg di panjatkan akan di kembalikan selada orang mendo'akan itu sendiri. Akan tetapi jika do'a baik di panjatkan, #Maka di samping Hati kita akan merasa bersih ternyata ALLAH SWT akan terlebih dahulu memberi kepada orang yg telah berdo'a sesuai dengan do'a yg telah di panjatkan. SUBAHANALLAH... Dan setelah itu untuk mengetahui apakah masih ada rasa dendam di Hati kita atau tidak??? #Tengoklah kedalam Hati kita masing-masing setelah kita berdo'a. Sudahkah kita bisa dengan penuh rasa kelegaan saat kita berdo'a pada oran-orang yg bermasalah dengan kita dengan do'a-do'a yg baik. Jika masih belum bisa, #Maka nyatakanlah dengan pasti bahwa Hati kita masih kotor. Will give a short summary of his time in prison. At the beginning he used to look down upon the Shabaab of Hizb ut Tahrir while he didn't know much about them. On one day the news came that Sheikh 'Ata Ibn Khalil Abu Rashta would come to the same prison he was in and he saw the joy on the faces of the prisoners. At that time his ideas were close to that of the Salafi Jihadiyyah and he was not indulged in thoughts and didn't know its meaning. He and others used to mock the word 'fikr' and one of them used to make jokes when the Sheikh used to come by saying: 'this is their master who taught them fikr'. At the time that he and others were busy with thinking about being released from prison, the Shabaab of Hizb ut Tahrir used to benefit from the 'ilm of Sheikh Abu Yasin ('Ata Ibn Khalil Abu Rashta). It was said that they used to write a book every week and that they were not concerned about the issue of being released from prison as they knew that this was Qadaa. They were busy in research and writing and the Sheikh used to teach them Arabic and Usool. He said that when he and others used to play sports the Shabaab used to go to the prison library to study Tafsir in order to strengthen themselves in fulfilling their obligations. He and others used to pray in their cells and one time Sheikh 'Ata Ibn Khalil Abu Rashta would deliver the Khutbah and other times Sheikh Abu Muhammad Al Maqdisi. Sheikh 'Ata used any opportunity to teach regardless of being ill etc. He said that on one hand they used to mock the Shabaab of Hizb ut Tahrir and on the other hand they used to love them. Afterwards he used to be close to Sheikh 'Ata in prison and even learned from the way he ate,drank, made wudu, prayed, how he interacted with the people etc. One day he asked the Sheikh why he was so careful with not wasting water during Wudu while it was part of the prison. To this the Sheikh replied that water is a public good for all the people and it should not be wasted. He stated that the Sheikh was very respected among the people and used to give analysis on news (there was merely on television in prison) and was also a Shaa'ir (poet). After being released from prison he visited the Sheikh and he reminded him of the importance of being good to your guest. The brother didn't see the Sheikh from 1999 till now but he made Du'aa to Allah that He (swt) honours us with Khilafah after he honoured us with this Sheikh and he asked Allah that the liberation of Bayt ul Maqdis will be on the hand of Sheikh 'Ata. Although the brother joined Hizb ut Tahrir later on, there are many lessons to derive from their time in prison. The above are just a couple of examples which show the importance of having a good relationship with the Muslim Ummah, which is required to win her trust. On the other hand it teaches us the importance of humbleness. The Sheikh didn't make any difference between himself and others. He used to be among the people. This mentality was widespread among the Sahaaba, to the extent that 'Umar (ra) used to sleep under a tree while being the Khalifah. The brother had a very negative view towards Hizb ut Tahrir and even used to mock them. Tidak banyak yg paham, bahkan yg mengaku Kristen , bahwa antara nasrani dan Kristen memiliki makna yg berbeda. Nasrani menunjuk pada ajaran yg dibawa oleh orang yg berasal dari Nasareth yaitu Isa as atau Yesus (Mathius 2:23, 21:11; Markus 10:47). Pengikutnya disebut Nashara/Nashoro (Hawariyun) bukan Kristen seperti yg kita kenal. Orang Nasrani masih mengikuti mengikuti ajaran tauhid yg diajarkan Yesus (Yohanes 17:3) dan masih menjalankan hukum taurat (Matius 5:17), serta menjalankan ajaran Abraham/Ibrahim yaitu khitan/sunat (Kejadian 17:9), TIDAK MAKAN BABI (Imamat 11:7) dan Tidak minum-minuman keras (Imamat 10:9). Setelah Nabi Muhammad SAW datang, mereka meleburkan diri / masuk kedalam Islam (Sejarah Gereja, Dr. Berkhof. Dr . I. Engklaar, BPK, hal 75) Sedangkan Kristen adalah keyakinan yg mempercayai Isa as / Yesus adalah Tuhan dan Juru selamat (Mesias). Keyakinan Ini berasal dari ucapan PAULUS di Antiokia, kira-kira tahuun 40 M setelah Yesus tiada. Pengikutnya lazim disebut orang Kristen. "Mereka tinggal bersama-sama dengan jemaat itu satu tahun lamanya, sambil mengajar banyak orang. Di Antiokhialah murid-murid itu untuk pertama kalinya disebut Kristen"(Kisah Rasul 11:26). Buku materi Pokok Agam Katolik karangan Dra.Damascena Ari Suarso C.B (Karunika, Jakarta 1985, hal 42) menyebutkan , nama Kristen tidak berasal dari Kristen itu sendiri, melainkan diberikan oleh penguasa Romawi saat itu. Nama Kristen oleh Romawi dipakai untuk mengejek orang yg dipandang budak. Sebutan Kristen juga mengandungarti politik sebagai gerakan mesias(ala Ratu Adil atau Juru Selamat ). Akidah maupun akhlak diantara keduanya berbeda . Nasrani berakhidah tauhid (meng Esa-kan Tuhan, Tidak ada Tuhan melaikan Allah ) sedangkan Kristen tidak. Dengan meleburnya kaum Nasrani kedalam Islam setelah kedatangan Nabi Muhammad SAW ----seperti yg dikatakan Dr Berkhof diatas ------- maka setelah itu tidak ada lagi kaum Nasrani dimuka bumi. Yang tinggal hanyalah kaum Kristen, pengikut Pulus. Oleh Paulus, yg juga seorang YAHUDI, ajaran Yesus yang awalnya mengakui ketauhidan(meng Esa-kan Tuhan, Tidak ada Tuhan melaikan Allah ) di RUSAK sedemikian rupa hingga banyak banyak sekali hal-hal yg bertentangan dengan PIKIRAN SEHAT. Ayat-ayat Injil dipalsu sedemikian rupa, disisipi kalimat-kalimat yg saling bertentangan, dan ironisnya itu semua diikuti tanpa reserve oleh para pengikutnya. Dalam hal beribadah misalnya. Orang- orang Kristen sekarang ini melakukan dengan berlutut. Padahal nabi Isa as atau Yesus beribadah dengan bersujud (Mathius 26:39) . Yang berlutut dan berdoa adalah cara Paulus (Kis 21:5, Kis 9:40, Kis 20:36 ) Dalam berdoa, umat Kristen tidak menengadahkan tangannya, padahal Yesus melakukan hal itu (Matius 14:19; Timotius 2:Cool. Saat melaksanakan ritual ibadah, Yesus melakukanya seperti umat terdahulu, yakni membersihkan diri dulu atau berwudhu(Keluaran 40:31), melepaskan alas kaki (Keluaran 3:5), dan menghadap kiblat (1 Raja 8:44;48:2 Taw) 6:34-38 ; Mazmur 5:7; Mat 5:17 ). Kini , hal-hal tersebut tidak mereka lakukan lagi. Dalam hal kematian, Mayat orang kristen mengenakan jas lengkap dan dimasukan kedalam peti mati. Tata cara ini sama sekali tidak ada dalilnya dalam Injil ---bid'ah. Nabi Isa atau Yesus ketika wafat dikafani (Lukas 24;12; Yohanes 11:44; Yohanes 20:5) Kemudian ,para nabi yang seharusnya dihormati pun dilecehkan dlm injil . - Nabi Nuh as. Mabuk-mabukan dan telanjang dalm kemahnya (Kejadian 9:18-27 ) - Nabi Ismail as , berperangai seperti keledai liar (Kejadian 16: 11-12), - Nabi Luth menghamili kedua putri kandungnya (Kejadian 19:30-38), - Nabi Yakub as. Menipu ayahnya sendiri (Kejadian 27 : 1-46), - Yahuda menghamili menantunya sendiri (Kejadian 38:1-30), - Nabi Daud as. Menghamili istri orang yang akhirnya menurunkan Nabi Isa as atau Yesus (II Samuel 11:1- 27; Mathius 1;6), - Nabi Isa atau Yesus adalah nabi bodoh, idiot, emosional dan berakhlak bejad (Markus 11: 12-14; Yohanes 7 : 8-10; Yohanes 2:4), dan banyak lagi ayat – ayat lain … yg membuat aku selalu bertanya – tanya tentang kebenaran Injil hatiku selalu kecewa dan malu bila membacanya ……… Lebih gila lagi , Paulus berkata : "Tetapi jika kebenaran Allah oleh dustaku semakin berlimpah kemuliaaNya, mengapa aku masih dihakimi lagi sebagai orang berdosa ? " (Roma 3:7) Paulus juga berkata : "Tetapi hukum Taurat ditambahkan supaya pelanggaran menjadi semakin banyak; dan dimana dosa bertambah banyak, disana kasi karunia menjadi berlimpah –limpah " (Roma 5:20) Itulah sebabnya,dalam menjalankan misinya, umat Kristiani (penyembah Yesus ditiang salib ) mereka sama sekali tidak mengindahkan norma-norma atau hukum yg ada. Semuanya adalah sah . Bahkan dengan semakin banyaknya dosa yg dibuat maka akan kian banyak pula kasih karunia Tuhan berlimpah-limpah. POKOK ajaran Paulus intisarinya ada 6; - doktrin Trinitas, - kepercayaan yg menyebut kan Yesus Juruselamat - kepercayaan Yesus mati ditiang salib untuk menebus dosa warisan dari Adam as - keyakinan Yesus telah bangkit dari antara orang mati lalu naik kelangit - dan kepercayaan Yesus akan datang lagi pada akhir zaman. Lantas, siapa sebenarnya Paulus itu yang menjadi "penerus" Yesus ? Injil menyebutkan Paulus adalah musuh Yesus yang telah menyiksa para murid Yesus (Kisah Para Rasul 8:1-29; 26:8-11). Untuk itu pada saudaraku sebangsa umat Kristiani / Nasrani / Katolik pelajarilah kembali dan renungkanlah Injil yang ada ditanganmu ……dan beranikanlah membaca buku-buku Islam walaupun ada perasaan benci , kesal, jiji, takut, malu, hina,tiada guna, buang-buang waktu ……..seperi yg pernah ku alami . Jangalah kau mendengarkan Islam / versi Islam dari lingkungan kalian sendiri …. Memang mungkin banyak umat muslim juga tidak beraklahk Islami (Al-quran dan Al Hadist ) , tapi apakah itu yg menjadi penghalang untuk mengetahui kebenaran Allah dan kehidupan akhirat yang kekal ?…. My tray is full, full of memos and IEBC papers. Another by election is eleven days away and this time is in western Kenya. Will I fly to Kisumu on go by road when that elections nears .. I love long drives across the country and with such a good driver like Oyusu, the drive option appears tempting. We shall probably drive past Narok and join the old road to Bungoma via Kisumu. A stopover in Kisumu and spending the night by the lake sounds attractive. Kisumu ... my old man loved in so much that he lived at Kaloleni before I was born and came back again in the mid 1950s to work at the airdrome as a mechanic repairing vehicles. He was young and loved his BSA motorbike that took him across the nearby towns. We lived at Kaloleni, a hundred meters from the mosque and the local madrasah. The little scar I carry on my forehead, always remind me as a historian of these early days. My play mate hit me with a bottle one day as we fetched milk. Memory fail me to understand why we fought and me ending up with a bleeding head. Much has changed since then and Kaloleni is a shadow of its old glory. The Arab shop keepers are all gone and so are the open spaces that we loved to play football and other children games. Mobile van cinemas that made their rounds across East Africa promoting Aspro "ni dawa ya kweli" or Nitil Jinja cloth materials from Uganda excited both adults and children across the town and other parts of the colony, the Protectorate of Uganda and Territory of Tanganyika. The promotional drives became even more exiting when comedians Omar Sulemani (later Mzee Pembe) and Kipanga Athumani were billed to cracked our ribs with their funny jokes. The natives turned up in large numbers to be entertained with old cowboys vs Red Indian movies. The riffles always looked shinny and the targets were always the poor Indians. We loved to watch Roy Rogers riding across the American plains even though we had no idea or imagination of "these United States of America" and what life was all about there. Little did I know that one day I shall be an Ambassador to this leading Superpower. The only world that I could dream of was Nairobi (confined to Pumwani) and the coastal town of Mombasa. Mzee Pembe and my father were buddies and playmates as teens raised at Pumwani. We thus shared a sumptuous meal with them before the left town for another show elsewhere in the colony. Mzee Pembe was later to become a big star on local Voice of Kenya TV and continued to entertain until retiring in old age. There were all sorts of strange stories about Mombasa and the coast that wabara feared about traveling to That coastal town. Stories were often narrated about majini (jinni); we were always warned that if you travelled to Mombasa you were not to kick cats or baskets for they would scream back in human voices. "Why have you kicked me," they would cry back frightening you to death. Mombasa was therefore one place you visited kwa heshima (respect) and adabu (good manners). One travelled to Kisumu or Mombasa usually by train; I loved the noise that locomotives and it's engine made. Traveling such long distances was like fun-fare; the whole neighbourhood escorted you to the railway station. Natives always overcrowded the third class coaches with bundles of clothes for many of them could not afford suitcases. We always carried our own food for the night journey that started at 6 pm in each direction of the ocean towards Mombasa or Kisumu overlooking Lake Victoria Ithaca its noisy steamers. My grandmother loved to feed us with atta chapatis, fried pieces of beef meet and tea while travelling to these far places. Meals for these journeys were normally prepared in plenty the day before the big day while I would spent the time biding goodbye to friends who would be envious of me as I were flying abroad for a vacation. I had no clue what planes looked like inside until much later in 1975 when I flew East African Airways to London on my way to attend graduate school in Scotland.I still retain that ticket to this day in my archives. I could never have imagine that one day I would fly abroad in something other than a train. I always loved to watch planes land at Eastleigh Airport as a child growing up in Pumwani. I recall that afternoon when news of Luis Armstrong, the famous black jazz singer, landing at the airport spread like wild fire. We all ran towards the airport fence at Eastleigh Section 3 hoping to have a glance of the famous musician only to see the plane landing. An hour later we retreated back to Pumwani satisfied that tale at we had a glance at the plane carrying the man. We then headed to Sophia Town , part of Pumwani, to listen to our own musicians praising the jazz singer and play some of his tunes. Pumwani was home of young musicians, including my brother Hassan Pancho, who were part of an outfit called the Bata Shoeshine Boys. Their opportunity came a year or two later when Cliff Richard held a concert at the newly inaugurated Starehe Boys Centre. December was a usually a busy month at Pumwani as waziba prostitutes left for home across Lake Victoria to Bukoba in Tanganyika. They always arrived at the railway station in style ... Often in convoy of taxes, usually British made vehicles such as Ford Consul, Zeafer and Vauxhall that overloaded with large suitcases and gifts to their rural relatives. Pumwani had then changed much as it had become a centre of commercial sex with baziba women renting outer rooms for their activities. Landlords/ladies preferred to rent rooms to these commercial sex workers as they were assured of rents being paid on time. Saturday afternoon was usually busy for them as the camped outside their rooms seated in small stools waiting for men who appeared like off duty military men. These men would often whisper politely to them "iko nafasi (are you available)? We co-existed ... And as children, we remained curious of their activities but it was one topic that was never openly raised. I enjoyed my childhood days at Kisumu where I attended the madrasah. My Swahili soon become laced with a heavy Luo accent. My friends back in Nairobi were amazed and often laughed at my Luonised Kiswahili of "Nyanya nipeko tongolo (granny, I need ten cents). Children pick and drop accents easily, and soon I would revert to my Nairobi or pwani Kiswahili to be with the boys. As a kid growing up in Kisumu, I hated eating ugali and I would often come home for lunch and there would be no any other meal but ... ugali. I would take one turn our room and off I would return to the madrasah without touching the stuff. My mother loved to watch my facial expression when I would be told that ugali was the meal of the day. It was torture for me for I loved chapati and rice. Rice was grown in plenty around Kisumu those days. I loved to see grains of rice (mpunga) spread across open spaces left to dry as I walked to and from the nearby madrasah at Kaloleni. It took me years and when in high school to welcome a dish of ugali. Pole, I got carried away with my childhood memories .... I was planning to head to Kisumu after Jamuhuri 50th jubilee celebration. I glance at my desk on the sixth floor at the Anniversary Tower's IEBC office .... there will be no single invitation to any of the celebrations I can bet you for they never invite me anymore to any national functions. I shall seat by my analogue TV and watch the parade and the overflowing crowd cheer the air-force planes pass-by. I shall drink my uji and cheer our 50 years of independence from my armchair at home near Gacie. Fifty years ago, as a 12 year old boy, I did cheer through my bedroom window as I watched the fireworks lit Mombasa Municipal Stadium. I was then to young to be allowed out at night to join in the festivities. The day will pass by and the 13th being a holiday, I shall rest before heading for that by-election on the 15th December 2013. The Commissioner will do his bit while my friends and colleagues will be glued on TV on the night of 19th to await the winner of that senatorial by-election in Bungoma. A Saudi Internet activist, known for publishing behind-the-scenes developments about the Saudi Arabia's royal cliques, has confirmed recent meetings that have taken place between the chief of Saudi Arabia's Security and Intelligence Agency and Israeli officials. Responding to inquiries on the issue, the activist, known as Mojtahidd on the Twitter social networking website, verified in a Sunday post that Prince Bandar bin Sultan has indeed met with a number of Israeli authorities, including a meeting with his Israeli counterpart on November 27, Alalam reports. According to Mojtahidd's Twitter post, among the topics covered in the meeting were Iran, Syria, [Egypt's] Muslim Brotherhood and the Arab Spring. The two sides, he added, further agreed to inflate the Iranian issue, destroy the so-called 'Jihadi' groups in Syria, sideline the Brotherhood, and root out the Arab Spring. The Saudi activist, who has gained a considerable following due to the accuracy of his past revealing statements, also noted that the Israeli contribution to the agreement would be through its intelligence experiences, its advanced technology and using its lobbying leverage to pressure American lawmakers. The Saudi contribution to the reported pact would come in the form of funding as well as its influence over Arab and Muslim countries. Mojtahidd further emphasized that he will next elaborate on a new corporation, named Al-Thomad, which has gained superiority over all other companies owned by Saudi princes and has thus turned into a major mystery. The reporter stated that individual weapons, hand grenades and two small explosive devices have been found inside the car, in addition to a variety of military equipment, amount of Syrian and Saudi currencies. All the four were arrested and investigations initiated to know their point. Also in Arsal, the army had stopped on Saturday night 3 Syrians in possession of light weapons and communication devices.
